Letter to the Editor of the White Salmon Enterprise re November 23 editorial I am surprised you chose the Detroit News editorial. There were more honest editorials from the New York Times and Washington Post regarding the super committee failure, which was no surprise. Four members had voted NO on the Simpson-Bowles plan, and showed no signs of budging. Republicans signed Grover Norquist's anti-tax pledge, so were not in a mindset for compromise. Read more »
